Bulldog Bits

  • Brownsburg defeated Avon 3-1 in IHSAA Sectional 9 championship for its first Sectional crown since 2012, previously the second-longest drought in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference
  • The Bulldogs snapped a five-game losing streak to Avon in the postseason with the win last Saturday.
  • Freshmen Hailey Hoskins and Natalie Hay both recorded a goal in Brownsburg's run to the sectional title last week. It's the second time since 2016 that multiple freshmen have scored for Brownsburg in single postseason (2017; Taelyn Hendrickson, Abby Lynch, Samantha Vondersaar)
  • Heading into the Regional Brownsburg is riding a six-match winning streak, the longest for the Bulldogs since at least 2010
  • Brownsburg has a goals against average of 0.81 over it's last six games. Goalkeeper Alanna Dixon posted three shutouts over that stretch.
  • The Bulldogs are looking to win the 10th IHSAA Girls' soccer Regional championship in school history this weekend. Brownsburg most recently won a Regional title in 2010.
