The Brownsburg girls' soccer team traveled to Zionsville High School and picked up a pair of wins on Aug.22. Brownsburg defeated No.18 Chesterton 5-2 and Class 2A No.2 Mishawaka Marian 3-1 to close the day. The results moved the Bulldogs to 3-0 on the young season.

Brownsburg outscored its opponents 8-3 on the day. For the year the Bulldogs have a 10-4 advantage over their opponents.

The Bulldogs scored four first half goals en route to the dominating win over the Trojans. Taelyn Hendrickson, Abby Lynch, Kalea Cruz and Grace Crawford each found the back of the net in the opening frame. Crawford tacked on an additional goal in the second half.

Hendrickson and Lynch scored just a few minutes a part in the first. Hendrickson's free kick from near midfield found the back of the net in the 10th minute. Lynch then netted her second goal of the year off the dish from Hendrickson.

In the 24th minute Kalea Cruz scored her first goal of the season off a header assist from Chloe Gill. Crawford's goals in the 39th and 77th minute rounded out the scoring for Brownsburg.

Chesterton got on the board twice in the second half, but the Bulldogs secured the win.

Brownsburg was led by Kylie Conrad's pair of goals against Mishawka Marian. The Bulldogs set the tone early and generated several early chances against the Knights. Abby Lynch was a force on the wings early in the first half but to no avail.

Brownsburg rode a 1-0 lead into the half after Kylie Conrad found the back of the net in the 32nd minute. The nice finish from the near side was Conrad's first goal of the year.

Conrad scored again in the 55th minute off a cross in the box from Lynch to make it 2-0.

In the 62nd minute Taelyn Hendrickson scored a highlight reel goal for the Bulldogs. Hendrickson's strike far made it 3-0 and put the game out of reach. Goalkeeper Alanna Dixon assisted on the goal.

The Knights got on the board late in the match to make it a 3-1 game.
