The Brownsburg girls' soccer team took down No.8 Avon 4-2 on Sept. 9 and moved to 5-3-1 (1-1-0 in HCC) on the season. Senior Grace Crawford recorded a hat trick help Brownsburg win the B&O Trail Rotary Bell for the fourth consecutive season.

The match was tightly contested as the two teams battled on Senior Night for the Bulldogs. Brownsburg led the shot count 14-13 for the night and earned five corner kicks to Avon's three in the match.

Brownsburg first struck off a goal from senior Adrienne Frost in the 2nd minute. The Bulldogs played a ball from the corner and Frost scored her first of the 2020 season. Taelyn Hendrickson was awarded the assist.

After the Orioles leveled the match Crawford scored twice in the final two minutes of the first half. In the 39th minute she stepped up and buried a penalty kick following an Avon handball in the box. Moments later Lydia Emmert centered a ball for Crawford who snuck it past the Oriole goalkeeper at the near post.

Brownsburg and Avon traded chances before the Orioles scored in the 69th minute. The Bulldogs created several opportunities off set pieces but couldn't connect for a goal.

Crawford's third goal came three minutes later off a beautiful strike from 25 yards out. It was her seventh of the season for the Bulldogs.

Brownsburg managed the game well over the final eight minutes to seal the win.
