No.20 Girls' soccer blanks previously unbeaten Plainfield, 3-0

The No.20 ranked Brownsburg Girls' soccer team picked up a 3-0 win over No.19 Plainfield Sept. 14. It was the third straight win for the Bulldogs who improved to 6-3-1 (1-1-0 in HCC) on the year. 

The Bulldogs dominated possesion in the match leading the shot count 19-5. Brownsburg poured 12 shots on the net including seven in the first half. Goalkeeper Alanna Dixon recorded her second shutout of the season in the win. 

Brownsburg got going early off Sam Vondersaar's first goal of the season. In the 2nd minute Kylie Conrad played the ball to Vondersaar who beat the Plainfield goalkeeper one-on-one. Fifteen minutes later Brownsburg earned a free kick and Taelyn Hendrickson buried it for her sixth goal of the season.  

The Bulldogs led 2-0 at the break after outshooting the Quakers 9-1 in the first half. 

Just after the halftime break Abby Lynch scored her fifth goal of the year. Lynch beat the Plainfield back line and scored far post to make it 3-0.

Brownsburg continued to apply pressure throughout the rest of the second half. In the 46th minute Kylie Conrad was gifted a chance in free space at the top of the box. The Plainfield goalkeeper stretched to make the save on the chance. 

Hailey Hoskins was a key cog in a pair of late opportunities. In the 61st minute Conrad fed Hoskins off a through ball for to the near side. Hoskins then played a cross for Abby Lynch, but the ball went out of play. Four minutes later Hoskins found herself open on the near side of the box, but she sent the shot wide on that opportnity.

Brownsburg travels to Fishers Wednesday for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match with the 12th ranked Tigers. Kickoff is at 7:15 p.m.
