12 soccer, volleyball players receive All-HCC honors

The Hoosier Crossroads Conference selected a total of 12 student athletes from Brownsburg Boys' soccer, Girls' soccer and Volleyball to All-HCC teams this fall. Girls' soccer led the way with five All-HCC selections, the most for the program since the inaugural year of the HCC in 2000.

Boys' soccer seniors Colin Porath and Roshan Gurung received the first All-HCC First Team selections of their careers. Grant Porath, an All-HCC Second Team selection, was the lone freshman to receive an honor for Brownsburg.

Colin Porath scored career-high 7 goals (T-11th in HCC) and played in all 16 games for Brownsburg during his senior campaign. Gurung appeared in all but one match this season, scoring 6 goals and dishing 7 assists (T-4th in HCC).

Grant Porath shined in his rookie year for the Bulldogs, leading the team with 8 goals (10th in HCC). Porath led all HCC freshman in goals and games played this season.

Seniors Grace Crawford, Taelyn Hendrickson and Abby Lynch led Girls' soccer on the All-HCC First team. Junior Kylie Conrad and senior Jayden Gibson were selected to the All-HCC Second Team.

Crawford was one of the premier scorers in the conference with a career-high 14 goals (T-2nd in HCC) and 7 assists (T-2nd in HCC). Hendrickson was second on the team with 11 goals (T-4th in HCC) and 4 assists in 2020. Lynch scored 9 goals (T-8th in HCC) and added five assists for Brownsburg this fall.

Conrad scored 4 goals and passed out 7 assists (T-2nd in HCC) for Brownsburg this year. Gibson appeared in all 20 matches for the Bulldogs as a key cog the midfield. She had 1 goal and 1 assists this season.

Volleyball had a pair of All-HCC First Team selections in sophomore Quinci Thomas and junior Kendall Meller. Sophomore Ella Hemmings and junior Audrey Naberhaus were named to the All-HCC Second Team.

In just her sophomore season Thomas had 512 kills (2nd in HCC) and 372 digs (5th in HCC) to lead Brownsburg. Meller was second on the team with 442 kils (3rd in HCC) and 66 blocks (10th in HCC).

Hemmings led the Hoosier Crossroads Conference with 504 digs and pitched in 47 aces (3rd in HCC). Naberhaus had 278 kills (6th in HCC) and 69 blocks (8th in HCC).
