No. 9/9 @bhsdogsghoops uses hot second-half shooting to sink Franklin Central

The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball team defeated Franklin Central 52-42 on December 6th to move to 7-2 on the year. (2-1 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference). Ally Becki notched her second double-double of this season as she led the Bulldogs with a season-high 19 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Kailyn Terrell had 11 points for the Bulldogs in her first career-start while Allison Bosse pitched in 10 points for her sixth consecutive double-figure scoring effort this season.

It was the Bulldogs' first game in 10 days and Brownsburg had to shake off a little rust in the opening quarter. Franklin Central opened the game on a 7-0 run, but Brownsburg closed the gap and made it 14-12 game at the end of the first.

Becki cut the Flashes lead to one point with a step-back 3-pointer before the end of the first half. The Flashes led 24-23 at the break.

Brownsburg opened up a double figure lead in the second half behind hot shooting in the third quarter. The Bulldogs hit four threes', three of which came in consecutive possessions, in the third quarter and led Franklin Central 39-31 after three.

The Bulldogs closed out the win in the fourth for their second HCC win of the season.

The Bulldogs host the Carmel Greyhounds for their next matchup on December 13th. The junior-varsity matchup will tip off at 6 p.m. with varsity to follow.
