No. 8/8 @bhsdogsghoops beats No. 3/7 North Central in a thriller

The Brownsburg girls' basketball team passed their early-season test on November 9th as the Bulldogs defeated No. 3/7 North Central 59-47 on to move to 2-0 on the season. Ally Becki led the Bulldogs in scoring with 17 points.
Mackenzie Bedrick scored a career-high 16 points in the win over the Panthers. Allison Bosse scored 9 points and Kailyn Terrell scored 8 points for the Bulldogs.
Right out of the gate, Ally Becki got the Bulldogs going. Becki had all 12 points for Brownsburg in the first quarter on 4-4 shooting from behind the arc.
Brownsburg led North Central 12-9 after a slow first quarter.
The Bulldogs used a 7-3 second-quarter-run to take the lead over the Panthers but North Central would battle back to lead 25-24 at halftime.
Brownsburg settled in after halftime and took control of the game with a strong surge in the fourth quarter.
Becki scored five straight points to give Brownsburg a 29-27 lead early in the third quarter. The Panthers responded to take a 36-31 lead but Brownsburg answered with a 9-1 run of their own late in the third quarter.
Bedrick's layup just before the buzzer gave Brownsburg a 40-37 lead over North Central after three.
Brownsburg outscored North Central 19-10 in the fourth behind a stellar 12 points from Bedrick. She nailed three crucial three pointers from the same spot in the far corner.

Brownsburg has a trio of games on their schedule next week. The Bulldogs will travel to Plainfield on Tuesday and No. 10/13 Bedford North Lawrence on Friday before hosting No. 9/9 Ben Davis on Saturday.
