IHSAA Girls' Basketball State Tournament Pairings Show set for this weekend

The IHSAA will set the stage for the 45th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament this Sunday, January 26, as it announces tournament pairings during the 45th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament Pairings Show. The show, hosted by Indianapolis media personalities Bob Lovell and Greg Rakestraw, starts at 5 pm ET and will be broadcasted via livestream on IHSAAtv.org.

The 45th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament will get underway with Sectional play on February 4th. Brownsburg is aligned in IHSAA Sectional 12 which also features Avon, Mooresville, Plainfield, Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South.

Plainfield High School will play host to Sectional 12 this year.

Brownsburg is looking to win the school's 15th girls' basketball sectional championship all-time and its third in the last four seasons. The Brownsburg girls' basketball program has the most IHSAA Class 4A sectional championships of any school in the 2020 Sectional 12 field.

Mooresville comes in as the defending Sectional 12 champions after it upended Brownsburg in the sectional final last year. The Pioneers fell to eventual Class 4A runner-up Lawrence North in the Regional Semi-Final.

This year's Sectional 12 champion will head to the IHSAA Regional at Decatur Central on Saturday, February 15. The IHSAA sectionals at Arsenal Tech, Pike and Richmond also feed into the regional at Decatur.

Jasper High School and Jeffersonville High School will host the Semi-States for the south ends of the the 45th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament.

Banker's Life Fieldhouse and downtown Indianapolis will host the 45th Annual IHSAA Girls Basketball State Finals on Saturday, February 29.
