No. 9/9 @bhsdogsghoops uses second-half surge to beat Mooresville

The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball team defeated Mooresville 50-32 to move to 5-1 on the 2019-2020 season. Allison Bosse led the Bulldogs with 16 points in the win. 

Ally Becki was the Bulldogs' second leading scorer with 11 points. Novalee Glass had a career-high 8 points for Brownsburg off the bench.

It was a slow first half for the Bulldogs as their offense was only able to muster 18 points. Depsite the slow start, the Bulldogs led Mooresville 18-13 at the break. 

Bosse had 10 of Brownsburg's 18 points in the first half. 

The Bulldogs would put away the Pioneers with a strong surge in the second half as Brownsburg outscored Mooresville 32-19 after the break. 

Becki came alive in the third quarter and scored 5 straight points for Brownsburg out of the gate. The team as a whole opened the third quarter on an 11-4 run and led Mooresville 32-24 after three quarters. 

Brownsburg's spurt continued in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs looked to close out the win. Five different players notched at least one point in the quarter.

Brownsburg will travel to Noblesville for their first Hoosier Crossroads Conference game of the season on Friday. The junior varsity matchup will tip off at 6 p.m.
