No. 4/6 @bhsdogsghoops suffers first setback at Bedford North Lawrence

By Keelen Barlow

The Brownsburg varsity girls' basketball team fell 48-37 to Bedford North Lawrence on November 15th. It was the Bulldogs' first loss of the 2019-2020 season.

Allison Bosse scored 19 points to lead Brownsburg in scoring.

After a sluggish start to the game for both teams, Bedford found their footing in the second quarter and took a 25-18 lead into the locker-room.

The 7-point advantage at the break was enough and Bedford never surrendered the lead in the second half. The Bulldogs got within striking distance at several points, but Bedford was able to hold off the comeback attempt.

Bosse hit her first 3-pointer of the night near the midway point of the third quarter. She cut the Stars' lead to 30-25 off an attempt from the far corner.

Bosse connected on two more long balls in the fourth quarter as Brownsburg had the lead down to two possessions.

The Bulldogs couldn't forge a comeback and fell for the first time this season.

Brownsburg will host No. 14/16 Ben Davis tomorrow night to close out the week.
