@bhsdogsbhoops Wins 4th Sectional Championship in 7 Years

The Bulldogs clutched their 4th Sectional Championship tonight over Plainfield. The Bulldogs will take this week to recoup and play in the Regional Semifinals on Saturday, March 14 at Noon at Southport. The Dogs will face off against the Pike Red Devils, who they beat previously during the season, 61-55. 

The Bulldogs were led largely by senior Malek Edmonds, who ended with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Pierce Thomas had 16 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Junior Tyray Lackey 5 points and 6 rebounds. 

Senior Jakobi McGowan and junior Luke Lacey had 4 points each, along with 2 rebounds for McGowan and Lacey with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Rounding it out for the Dogs, Senior Connor Lucas had 3 points and junior Quentin Bragg had 1 point. 

This is the 4th Sectional Championship win for the Bulldogs under Head Coach Steve Lynch and 6th Sectional Championship win overall. The Dogs are back on Saturday, March 14 for Regional Semifinals.
