Dogs Take Second Loss of the Season to Carmel

The Dogs took a tough loss to current state champion Carmel tonight, Saturday, Jan. 25, with a final score of 27-44.The Greyhounds are 4x state champions and have many returning faces to the program this year. This loss comes as only the Bulldogs second this season, the first being to Lawrence North. 

Senior Connor Lucas lead the Dogs with 8 points tonight, followed by junior Pierce Thomas with 7 points. Juniors Quentin Bragg and Luke Lacey both had 4 points each. Bragg added 2 rebounds and Lacey had 4. Senior Jakobi McGowan and junior Tyray Lackey both had 2 points, McGowan also had 3 rebounds. 

A majority of the Bulldog's points came from free throws with every player having the opportunity for at least 2 free throws. Senior Lucas went 4 for 4 in his, junior Thomas went 3 for 4 and junior Bragg went 4 for 6. Junior Lacey went 2 for 4, junior Lackey and senior McGowan went 2 for 2 for both of their opportunities. 

The Bulldogs are back on Friday, Jan. 31 at fellow HCC team Zionsville. The Dogs and Eagles will face off at 7:30 PM.
