Edmonds Scores a Career-High as Dogs Roll Past Center Grove to Finish Regular Season

It was a night to remember for Malek Edmonds in his final regular season game. The senior put up a new career-high 31 points in a 51-46 win over Center Grove on Tuesday night. 

The Bulldogs came out of the gate strong with a 19-7 first quarter lead. The defense would hold steady for Brownsburg, going into halftime leading 28-14. Center Grove would make it interesting in the second half, outscoring the Dogs 32-23, but couldn't get closer than five points away. This is the third win in a row for Brownsburg over Center Grove. 

Edmonds shot 10-17 from the field, going 9-10 from the free-throw line. He would also grab 8 rebounds. 

Connor Lucas was the closest to Edmonds in the scoring category with 7. Pierce Thomas would add 6 points and 8 assists. 

The Trojans were led by Landin Hacker, who had 11 points on the night. Ben Cooney would contribute 8 points. 

Brownsburg will finish the regular season with an 18-4 record, their 3rd season in a row with 17 or more wins. The focus now turns toward sectional play, where the Bulldogs will take on Rotary Bell rival Avon in the first round of sectional 12 next Tuesday, Mar. 3rd, at Mooresville High School. Tip-off will be at 6 p.m.
