The Brownsburg varsity boys' basketball team defeated Plainfield 55-43 in the championship game of the 2020 Hendricks County Boys' Basketball Tournament. The Bulldogs exploded with a 27-13 run in the fourth quarter to win the game and claim their third straight county crown. The result gave Brownsburg its 23rd Hendricks County Boys' Basketball championship since the tournament started in 1915.

Pierce Thomas led the way for Brownsburg with 14 points in the win. Connor Lucas scored 13 points while Luke Lacey scored a career-high 10 points for the Bulldogs.

The first three quarters were the makings of a thriller as the Bulldogs and Quakers went back and forth. Plainfield jumped on the Bulldogs early for a 13-7 first quarter lead. The Bulldogs responded with a 9-1 run to open the second quarter but Plainfield led 22-18 at the break.

Brownsburg and Plainfield would trade buckets in the third quarter resulting in a 30-28 Plainfield lead at the end of the third. Brownsburg exploded to take the lead in the fourth and never looked back. The Bulldogs opened the quarter on a 12-0 run to sink the Quakers.

Thomas' big transition slam in the fourth nearly brought the house down as he put the cherry on top of a hard-fought win for the Bulldogs.
