GAME NOTES: No.4 Football vs Noblesville

By Keelen Barlow

Brownsburg (6-1, 4-1 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference) hosts Noblesville (2-5, 1-4 in HCC) Oct. 9 on Senior Night and Crucial Catch Night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from C.F. Roark Stadium on Bcsc.tv.

News and Notes

  • Brownsburg climbed to No.4 in the Associated Press and IFCA state polls for this week. The Bulldogs are rated No.3 in the Sagarin Indiana High School Football ratings.
  • Friday marks the 38th all-time meeting between Brownsburg and Noblesville, with the Millers leading the series by a slim 19-18 margin. Brownsburg is 12-7 against Noblesville since the HCC was created in 2001.
  • Brownsburg has won three straight meetings with Noblesville. A win Friday would match the longest winning streak in Brownsburg/Noblesville series history (Brownsburg, 2009-2012 and 2003-2006; Noblesville, 1999-2002)
  • The two schools were also conference foes in the Sagamore Conference (1968-1979) and the Olympic Conference (1998-1999).

Bulldog Bits

  • WR Preston Terrell is coming off a performance of 203 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns in the win over Zionsville. It was the most receiving yards for Brownsburg in a single game since 2018 (Bryce Kirtz, 244 yards vs Westfield) and the most receiving touchdowns by a Brownsburg player since at least 2013.
  • Brownsburg has scored at least 40 points over each of its last four games, the longest streak for the Bulldogs since the 1994 season (7 straight)
  • QB Ben Easters threw for a career-high 338 yards against Zionsville, the most passing yards for a Brownsburg QB since 2015 (Hunter Johnson, 445 yards vs Lawrence North).
  • Zionsville is the fourth Brownsburg opponent this season to be held to fewer than 14 points.
  • Brownsburg's 10-game takeaway streak was snapped last week against Zionsville. The Bulldogs defense had forced a takeaway in each of its last 10 games, a streak that dated back to a 2019 win over Noblesville.
