GAME NOTES: No.5 Football at Zionsville

Brownsburg (5-1, 3-1 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference) heads to take on Hoosier Crossroads Conference foe Zionsville (3-3, 2-2 in HCC) Sept. 30. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from St. Vincent Health Stadium on IHSAAtv.

News and Notes

  • Brownsburg slipped to No.5 in the Associated Press and IFCA polls for this week, their lowest ranking of the 2020 season. The Bulldogs are rated No.3 in the Week 6 Sagarin Indiana High School Football Ratings.
  • Friday marks the 20th meeting all-time between Brownsburg and Zionsville. The Eagles lead the series 11-8 but the Bulldogs have won five straight meetings.

Bulldog Bits

  • Brownsburg is 5-0 following a regular season loss under Head Coach John Hart. The Bulldogs haven't lost back to back regular season games since 2015
  • The Bulldogs have played in multiple overtime games in a single season for the first time since at least 1995
  • Brownsburg has won 10 of its last 11 road games in Hoosier Crossroads Conference play. The Bulldogs are 13-2 in HCC road games since Hart took over in 2016.
  • RB Caleb Marcus' four rushing touchdowns against Westfield is the most for Brownsburg in a single game since 2014. (Toks Akinribade; 4 TDs vs Franklin Community)

About the Eagles  

Zionsville is coming off a one-point loss to Hamilton Southeastern last week. The Eagles are undefeated (3-0) at home this year.

Zionsville RB Colin Price is the leading rusher in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference through six games. Price has rushed for 735 yards (1st in HCC) and 6 touchdowns (T-3rd in HCC) this season.

On the other side of the ball, Zach Bielecki and Luke Nolan have recorded 4.0 sacks a piece this year (T-2nd in HCC).
