No.2 Football moves past Franklin Central, 35-7

By Keelen Barlow

The No.2 ranked Brownsburg football team rolled to a 35-7 road win over Franklin Central on Sept. 4. The win moved the Bulldogs to 3-0 (1-0 in HCC) on the season.

It was a strong passing attack that helped Brownsburg secure the win over Franklin Central. QB Ben Easters found WRs Luke Lacey and Preston Terrell for a combined four touchdowns through the air. Both of the strikes from Terrell came from 40-plus yards.

Brownsburg never trailed in the game en route to dominating win over the Flashes. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 first quarter lead off a 12-yard touchdown catch from Lacey.

Chris Williamson intercepted the Flashes at the goal line in the second quarter. The snag set up the second touchdown drive for the Bulldogs. Easters and Terrell connected on a 45-yard touchdown to put the Bulldogs up 14-0 at the break.

The Bulldogs moved quickly across midfield to open the second half. Easters again found Lacey on third and goal to cap off the drive and give the Bulldogs a 21-0 lead.

Brownsburg forced two more turnovers in the third quarter as Cameron Keys and Garrett Dalton each recovered a fumble. Dalton's recovery led to a goal line rushing touchdown from Caleb Marcus
