Football matchup with St. Xavier to air on ESPN2

By Keelen Barlow

A national spotlight is set to shine on this weekend's Brownsburg Football matchup against St. Xavier (Ohio). It was announced Monday that the game will air on ESPN2 as a part of the GEICO ESPN High School football showcase. The seven-game slate features schools from nine different states. Brownsburg is the lone representative from the state of Indiana.

This year marks the second time that Brownsburg football has been televised on the ESPN family of networks. During the 2015 season the Bulldogs aired on ESPNU for a B&O Trail Rotary Bell matchup with the Avon Orioles.

Mike Monaco will be on the call for ESPN2 along with former University of Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts linebacker Rocky Boiman. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

Brownsburg Community School Corporation is following the guidance of the Governor, the state and county health officials and the IHSAA with regard to fall athletic events. As a result, limited tickets are only available for team family and select students. Only those with an advanced ticket will be admitted to C.F. Roark Stadium for the game.
