Royal's Win Over Bulldogs
Despite collecting more hits than the Hamilton Southeastern Royals, the Bulldogs Varsity Softball team lost 4-1 on Wednesday evening. Sydney Lowe threw a complete game and kept the solid hitting Royals team to just 7 hits. Eight Bulldog hitters collected one hit, but the team was unable to string the hits together to manufacture enough runs. Brownsburg's only run was scored during a small offensive combination in the top of the 7th. Brandy Mowery led off the 7th inning with a single to left. Taylor Mendenhall was hit by a pitch, moving Mowery to second. A past ball moved runners into scoring position in the top of the 7th. Mackayla Gordon hit a deep fly to left-center, scoring Mowery from third. The solo run wasn't enough for the Bulldogs. Brownsburg travels to Lawrence North tomorrow for the last regular season contest of the season.
