Bulldogs Defeat Eagles

The Varsity Softball team earned their first conference victory of the season with last nights 7-3 win over Zionsville.  Brownsburg outhit Zionsville 10-6 on the evening, but it was Brownsburg's timely offensive execution that secured the win.  Senior Taylor Mendenhall was one for three at the plate, but had a huge offensive day.  Mendenhall hit for a double off the left field fence, added a sacrifice bunt and totaled for 4 RBIs on the night.  Junior Mackayla Gordon and Sophomores Kyleigh Anderson and Elissa Brown each contributed one RBI.
Anderson and Taylor Astell added two hits, while Ally Carver, Elissa Brown, Brandy Mowery and Jessica Doctor tallied one hit a piece.
Pitchers Jessica Doctor and Sydney Lowe split time in the pitching circle.  Doctor was credited with the win, allowing three runs over 5 innings, striking out one, walking one and allowing just six hits.

With this victory, the Bulldogs improve their season record to 12-6.
