#1 Center Grove Battles #15 Bulldogs
The #15 ranked Varsity Bulldogs battled against the #1 ranked Center Grove Trojans on Thursday night. The Bulldogs lost 2-7 in seven complete innings. Senior Ally Carver led the team offensively, finishing 3/4 with a double. Sophomore Elissa Brown pitched 7 complete innings against the tough Trojan offense, while finishing 2/4 at the plate. Junior Brianna Harbin stepped up with an RBI single in the fourth inning, scoring Brown from 2nd base. Following Harbin's hit, the Trojans had a defensive error, which scored Freshman Anna Carroll from 1st base. Other notable Bulldogs recording a single hit were Taylor Astell, Mackayla Gordon and Jessica Doctor.
Brownsburg will compete in the Hendricks County Tournament this weekend. Their first matchup is against Cascade on Friday at 5:30.
