Bulldogs Open Weekend with a Win

The Brownsburg Bulldogs softball team jumped out to an early 5-0 lead on Fort Wayne Carroll and captured an 11-2 victory on Saturday at the Carmel Invite.  The Bulldogs quick start began with a bases loaded hit-by-pitch for Mackayla Gordon, followed by an RBI single for Elissa Brown and an RBI sacrifice fly by Kyleigh Anderson.  In the top of the 3^rdthe Bulldogs pushed 2 more runs across the plate with a double by Mackayla Gordon another RBI single by Elissa Brown along with an RBI single by CeCe Ridgeway.  The scoring continued in the 4^th inning when the Bulldogs 5 more runs for 10-0 lead which put the game out of reach.  Taylor Astell and Brandy Mowery started the inning with a singles followed by an RBI single by Ally Carver, a 2 RBI single by CeCe Ridgeway and a RBI single by Brianna Harbin.  The Bulldogs racked up 12 hits on the game while Elissa Brown and Kayleigh Pate combined pitching effort held Fort Wayne Carroll to only 4 hits.
