Bulldogs Advance to County Semi-Final

The Varsity Bulldogs pounced early, downing Cascade on Friday evening during the first round of the Hendricks County Tournament.  The Bulldogs defeated Cascade in 7 innings with a final score of 4-1.  Jessica Doctor recorded the win in the pitching circle, allowing just 4 hits and striking out 8 batters.  Powerhitters Mackayla Gordon and Elissa Brown earned two hits apiece.  Brown recorded two doubles and one RBI, while Gordon added a double of her own.  Senior slap-hitter Taylor Astell added 3 hits and 1 RBI.  Freshman Anna Carroll was consistent at the plate all game.  Carroll finished the evening 2-3 with one RBI.  Brownsburg will face Avon in round 2 of the tournament.
