Moorseville Defeats Brownsburg
Brownsburg was defeated, 7-3 by Mooresville on Monday during the first round of the Terre Haute Sectional. Brownsburg outhit Mooresville 11-9, but some costly errors in the 4th inning allowing 5 runs were too much for the Bulldogs to overcome. Jessica Doctor and Sydney Lowe combined their pitching efforts, allowing Mooresville only 1 earned run on 9 hits. Senior Lucy Paczkowski was 3-4 on the day with 1 run scored. Freshman Elissa Brown was 2-3 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Junior Taylor Mendenhall was 2-3 with 2 doubles and an RBI, while Senior Lindsey Stahl was 2-3 with 1 run scored. Sophomore CeCe Ridgeway was 1-2 with a run scored and Sophomore Brianna Harbin was 1-4 with an RBI.
Brownsburg finished the season with a record of 13-13. The BHS softball program would like to thank the 3 Seniors, Lucy Paczkowski, Kelsey Reinhardt and Lindsey Stahl for all of their contributions on and off the field.
