Softball Easily Defeats Chatard

On Thursday evening, Brownsburg faced-off against the Bishop Chatard Trojans for the Bulldog's 2015 Senior Night.  Before the game, Brownsburg recognized seniors Kelsey Reinhardt, Lindsey Stahl and Lucy Paczkowski as outstanding student athletes and leaders within the program.  As soon as the game started, Brownsburg came out strong, playing solid defense and putting together a strong offensive performance, helping to solidify their 6 inning 11-1 victory over the Trojans.  Jessica Doctor was the Bulldog pitcher credited with the victory.  In 5 innings, Doctor allowed only 3 hits, surrendered 7 Chatard batters and only gave up one earned run.  Offensively, Brownsburg outhit Chatard 12-5.  Freshman Elissa Brown was 4-4 at the plate with a double, while Senior Kelsey Reinhardt had 2 hits during her 3 attempts and Cece Ridgeway was 1-2 with a double.  Other Bulldog hitters that collected a single each on the evening were Taylor Astell, Brandy Mowery, Jessica Doctor, Brianna Harbin, and Rebecca Schrad.
