Bulldogs Compete at Carmel Invite

A majority of last weekend's Carmel Invitational Tournament was rained out, but the Bulldogs were able to squeeze in one contest on Friday evening.  Brownsburg defeated the McCutcheon Mavericks with a final score of 6-3, improving their record to 5-5.

Elissa Brown was the winning pitcher, allowing only 4 hits, giving up 2 earned runs and surrendering 6 Maverick batters at the plate.  Offensively, the Bulldogs were seeing the ball well, outhitting McCutcheon 12-4.  Sophomore MacKayla Gordon lead the offensive charge, going 3-4 at the plate with an RBI.  Meanwhile, seniors Lindsey Stahl and Lucy Paczkowski added 2 hits in their 4 attempts.  Junior Taylor Astell and sophomores Brianna Harbin and Brandy Mowery each contributed with one hit each.

This evening, Brownsburg will face Southport on their home field at 6:00 PM.
