Bulldogs Run Past Red Devils
Bulldog bats were on fire last night during the Varsity softball match up against the Pike Red Devils. Brownsburg combined for 19 hits on the evening, fueling their 16-4 victory. Offensively, the Bulldogs pounced on the Red Devils early, earning 6 runs on 5 hits in the top of the 1st inning. Two of those hits were doubles collected by Lucy Paczkowski and Brianna Harbin. The 2nd inning was just as productive, with Brownsburg tallying an additional 4 runs on 7 hits with an RBI double by Paczkowski and singles from Elissa Brown and Harbin.
Lindsey Stahl and MacKayla Gordon finished the game 3-4 at the plate, while Harbin and Paczkowski were both 3-3. Brown finished the game 2-2 and Rebecca Schrad collected her first career varsity hit. Stahl, Paczkowski, Harbin, Brown, Kelsey Reinhardt, and Rebecca Schrad collected 2 RBIs each during their plate appearances.
The Bulldogs improved their record to 9-6 and will match up against Zionsville in tonight's contest.
