Bulldogs Honor Middle School Teams
Brownsburg defeated HCC opponent Zionsville last night during Brownsburg's Middle School Recognition Night with a score of 10-6. The Bulldogs improved their season record to 10-6 and 2-2 in the HCC. Brownsburg's defense put together an error free game in the field, helping Jessica Doctor pitch her 9th complete game of the year and captured her 6th victory of the season. Brownsburg fell behind early 1-0 in the 2nd inning before erupting for 3 runs in each of the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings and finally 1 run in the bottom of the 6th. Taylor Mendenhall was 3-4 on the evening with 2 singles, a double and an RBI. Jessica Doctor and Lucy Paczkowski were both 2-4 for the game with a single, double and 2 RBI's each. Brianna Harbin stayed hot at the plate with a 2-4 effort including a double down the right field line and Lindsey Stahl added 2 more hits along with an RBI. The hitting was rounded out with Mackayla Gordon going 2-4 with an RBI and Elissa Brown adding a single and RBI.
The lady Bulldogs will play again at home on Thursday against county foe Plainfield and then travel to Lebanon on Saturday morning to play the Tigers
