Softball Opens Season with a Win

The Varsity Softball team pounced on the Franklin Central Flashes during their debut contest of the 2015 season.  The Bulldogs defeated the Flashes in a close 3-2 battle.  Jessica Doctor was the winning pitcher for Brownsburg, recording 5 strike-outs and allowing no earned runs.  Despite a rocky defensive start and initially trailing the Flashes 0-2, the Bulldogs rallied in the 4^th inning to post 3 runs on the board.  A string of offensive hits, smart at bats and solid base running attributed to the 4^th inning rally.  Senior Lucy Paczkowski was 2-3 at the plate with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.  Meanwhile, sophomore CeCe Rigeway was 1-3 offensively tallying her first RBI of the season.  The Bulldogs will face off against Western Boone on Thursday, 3/26 for their 2^nd contest of the season
