Millers Swing Past Bulldogs
The Bulldogs dropped a close one to Noblesville last night, despite outhitting the Millers 6-4. Brownsburg was unable to string their offense together to manufacture runs during their 1-3 loss against a tough HCC opponent. Jessica Doctor battled from the circle, throwing a complete game and holding a disciplined Noblesville offense to 4 hits, while earning one strike out and allowing only 3 earned runs. Senior Lucy Paczkowski and Junior Taylor Astell led Brownsburg's offensive charge, collecting multiple hits each. Astell tore right side of the field up, placing 3 strategic hits on the right side of the field, giving her 2 singles and a double on the day. Paczkowski stayed consistent at the plate, hitting the ball hard in the gaps. Paczkowski had 2 singles in her 3 attempts against the Millers. Brownsburg was scoreless in 6 innings until the top of the 7th when Freshman Elissa Brown drove a line drive over the right field wall. Brown was 1-3 at the plate with a solo homerun and 1 RBI.
Brownsburg will return to action on Thursday against Chatard for Senior Night, recognizing three outstanding seniors, Kelsey Reinhardt, Lindsey Stahl and Lucy Paczkowski.
