Dogs Top Decatur Central with 4 run Fifth

Wednesday night the varsity softball team got a solid win over Decatur Central, 4-2. Sarah Callis led the offense with two hits and two RBIs and stepped up in a big way to help the Dogs at the catcher spot. Krystal Shirrell added two nice hits on the night, and Kirsten Bartlett was instrumental in getting the four run fifth inning scoring onslaught started with an absolutely perfect squeeze bunt that was good for a hit and the RBI. Rachel Fiscus and Kayle Comer did a great job on the mound, holding the Hawks scoreless through four and giving up just two runs. The girls take their latest win into the Crawfordsville Invitational this Saturday where they hope to continue their momentum going into Tuesday's sectional opener.
