Softball Notches another HCC Win

Wednesday night the varsity softball team got a great 10-2 win against conference opponent Lafayette Harrison. The girls came out strong, scoring four runs in the first inning, due in part to a lead-off single by Chelsea Conover, a triple from Kirsten Bartlett, a double by Alex Shipley, and an RBI from Sarah Callis. Conover also added two more hits to go 3-4 on the night, and Krystal Shirrell and Carlie Weaver contributed two hits apiece. The Dogs had another quality pitching performance, this time from Kayle Comer who allowed just three hits in seven innings and only one earned run. The Dogs will round out the week and their conference schedule against Noblesville on Thursday night at 6:00. Come cheer the girls to victory as they look to finish their season with a winning record in their extremely competitive conference.
