Dogs Run-Rule Danville in Hendricks County Tourney

Wednesday night the varsity softball team got a second straight run-rule win, this time over the Warriors of Danville, to place fifth in the county tournament. The girls came out strong, scoring seven runs in the first two innings. They added six more in the bottom of the fourth. Consistent pitching from Kayle Comer, who allowed just two hits on the night, combined with improved defense in the second half of the ballgame, helped shut down the Warriors for a 13-3 win. Kirsten Bartlett led the hitting onslaught with a 3 - 3 effort, including a triple, three RBIs, and three runs. Krystal Shirrell came up big for the Dogs again with another home run and three RBIs on the night.
