Brownsburg Sweeps Edgwood
This Saturday the Varsity Softball team got two solid wins in its double-header against Edgewood. The Dogs came out on fire in the first game, scoring 10 runs in the first two innings and winning 13-3 in five innings. Kirsten Bartlett led the offensive charge, going 3 for 4 with 5 RBI, including a grand slam. Chelsea Conover was unstoppable, going 3 for 3 with 2 steals and 3 runs, and Krystal Shirrell added 3 hits and 4 RBI to help the cause. In the second game, Bartlett continued her prowess at the plate with 2 more home runs, as did Conover who went 3 for 4. Tori Martin also added her first home run to the offensive onslaught for the day. Rachel Fiscus turned in a strong performance, pitching for the 3-0 shut-out and allowing only 5 hits in 7 innings. The Dogs played great defense in both games with no errors on the day. Come out and watch the girls this Monday against Mooresville at 5:30 and Friday against strong conference foe McCutcheon.
