Softball Defeats Conference Foe McCutcheon

Friday night the Varsity Softball team got a huge 6-1 win against the conference-leading McCutcheon Mavericks, handing them their first conference loss of the season.  Kayle Comer and Tori Martin combined on the mound and behind the plate for a well-pitched and well-called game respectively, giving up only 6 hits in 7 innings.  Kirsten Bartlett led the way at the plate with 2 hits, both doubles, and 3 RBI.  Martin was also on fire at the plate, going 2 for 2 with an RBI.  Chelsea Conover, Alex Shipley, and Sarah Callis also came up big offensively for the Dogs in clutch spots.  Once again, the Dogs' defense was also solid and critical in shutting down McCutcheon.  Great job, girls!
