No. 21 Baseball run-rules McCutcheon in road trip

The No. 21 Brownsburg Baseball team defeated No. 13 McCutcheon on the road on Tuesday night, 15-5, in six innings of play.

Once again, the Bulldogs jumped on the scoreboard early and often, getting up to as much as a 6-0 lead after the second inning. The lead got to as much as 12-0 lead after the top of the fifth, but the Mavericks put a four-spot on the board in the bottom half to extend the game. 

Ty Mathews went got on base five times in the contest and scored all five times. Mathews was also the only Bulldog to record a mult-hit game. Ben Bayler recorded 4 RBI, while Jackson Fought recorded three runs in, and Sean Gannon and Dominic Skinner eached recorded two.

Gavin Pierson struck out six through four innings, but was responsible for two of the runners that scored in the fifth. 

The Bulldogs have now won nine consecutive games and look to make it ten in their home finale vs HCC rival Fishers on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
