Deal Signs with Belmont University

This past week Brownsburg senior pitcher Jordan Deal signed a National Letter of Intent to play collegiately at Belmont University. Deal is a two-year varsity letterman for the Bulldogs and has been the go-to guy on the mound this season in big games. This season, Jordan has collected a 3-3 record with 1 save. He has a 4.26 ERA with 35 K's in 44 innings pitched. On top of being an excellent baseball player, Jordan Deal is an amazing student. Jordan has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his 4 years at Brownsburg High School and is ranked 18 in a class of 387. Jordan participates in the DECA program and excels in many of his AP classes.

BHS Head Baseball Coach Mattingly said, "Jordan is the epitome of a student-athlete and is a young man that truly makes Brownsburg High School, the Athletic Department, and the baseball team very proud. In the classroom, Jordan works tirelessly to maintain grades and prepare himself to the next step academically. As an athlete, Jordan's work ethic and dedication have made him the guy we want on the mound in big game situations. Belmont is getting a top-notch baseball player and a first-class young man."
