Bulldogs Top Zionsville, Again

The varsity baseball team took the second game of a 2 game series last night against 3rd ranked Zionsville in another big HCC victory.  THe Bulldogs got behind 2-0 in the first but snuck in a run in the 2nd to make the score 2-1.  It stayed the same until the bottom of the 5th inning when the Bulldogs came to life.  Senior Logan Coughlin led off the inning with a solo HR to tie the game at 2.  Senior Jeremy Jones singled and Isaac Sampen followed up with a 2-Run bomb to leftfield.  Sam Sampen followed the HR with a 2B off the rightfield fence and senior David Oliger drove him in on a big 2 out single up the middle.  Sophomore Ty McCoy pitched an amazing 5 innings, allowed only 2 runs and struck out 7 Zionsville Eagles before senior pitcher Jake Weimer came in to close the door.  Weimer pitched a scoreless 6th and allowed 1 run in the 7th to secure the Bulldogs 13th victory of the year.  Ty McCoy moves to 4-0 on the season and Jake Weimer collects his 2nd save.  The Bulldogs will take a day off before going to Fishers on Thursday and coming back home for senior night on Friday.
