Hendricks County Champions!

The varsity boys baseball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a big victory of Avon last night in the Hendricks County Tournament Championship.  The Bulldogs used some offensive fireworks from seniors Bobby Carr (3-Run HR), Tyler Whetstone (HR), and John Moore (3-Run Home Run and his second on the season).  The Dogs clawed back from a 7-3 deficit in the 5^th inning to win the game 11-9.  On the hill, the Bulldogs needed innings from Isaac Sampen, Mycah Whetstone, Sam Sampen and Jordan Deal.  Sam Sampen collected the victory (his 1^st of the season) by stalling the Orioles in the 5^th, 6^th, and beginning of the 7^th innings to allow the Bulldogs the opportunity to come back.  After the Dogs took the  the lead in the top of the 7^th, Jordan Deal came in with 2 outs and 2 runners on in the bottom of the 7^th  to get the save (his 1^st of the season) and secure the 2012 County Championship.
