Bulldogs Remain Undefeated

The varsity baseball team improved their record to 4-0 last evening with a 12-5 victory over the Speedway Sparkplugs. The Dogs jumped on the scoreboard early, taking a 7-0 lead into the third inning powered behind big hits from Isaac Sampen, Bobby Carr, David Oliger and a big two-run double from Leo Tobasco. The Plugs battled back in the fourth inning, putting four runs on the board, but the surge was countered with a big six run performance from the Bulldogs offense. The Dogs used hits from Sam Sampen, Logan Coughlin, Jeremy Jones, and John Moore to boost the lead. The Plugs scraped back one more run to get to the final decision at 12-5. Senior Mycah Whetstone collected his first win on the season by putting in four innings of solid work, and sophomore Ty McCoy collected his first save of the year by finishing the last three innings of the game.
