No.14 Softball slugs to 8-4 win over No.7 BNL

Brownsburg closed the Columbus North Invitational with an 8-4 win over No.7 Bedford North Lawrence, April 17. Kelsey Endress, Maddy Edwards and Grace Mendenhall smashed homers in the win for the Bulldogs and Brownsburg improved to 7-1 (1-0 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference) on the year. 

After wins over Seymour and East Central to open the day, Brownsburg moved to 3-0 in Columbus with the win over the Stars. Mendenhall's 2-run homer in the fourth was the first of her Brownsburg career while Edwards' solo bomb in the second was her first of the season. Endress launched a 3-run homer in the first inning, her third of the season. 

The Bulldogs poured 11 hits on the Stars and scored six of their eight runs off the long ball. Vivianne Harris and Kaylee Larkin each also had RBI to help Brownsburg hand Bedford North lawrence their first loss of the season. 

In the circle Endress threw a complete game and got the win for Brownsburg. She fanned a season-high 11 batters and allowed two earned runs. It was Endress' fourth appearance with double digit strikeouts in her Brownsburg career.
