No-hitter, dominant offense lead No.13 Softball past Cathedral, 12-0

No.13 Brownsburg moved to 2-0 on the year with a 12-0 road win over Cathedral April 7. Pitchers Kelsey Endress and Maddy Edwards combined for a no-hitter while nine players registered a hit at the plate to get the win.

Endress started for the second straight day and went five strong in the circle. She hasn't allowed a run over her last 12 innings after throwing in a 5-3 win over Tri-West yesterday. Edwards made her first appearance of the season, throwing two relief innings to close out the no-hitter. It was Brownsburg's first no-hitter since Jessica Doctor threw a perfect game against Terre Haute North in 2016.

Brownsburg continued to swing hot sticks as the Bulldogs poured in 13 hits in the game. Olivia Calero launched her second home run in as many nights - a six-inning solo shot to left, while Addy Neal hit the first homer of her young career.

An RBI bunt from Ashleigh Tranter plated an early run for the 'Dogs in the second. Brownsburg brought two runs across in the following inning off a triple from Grace Mendenhall and double from Calero. Mendenhall's sac fly made it a 4-0 Brownsburg lead after four.

The Bulldogs scored three more off a Kiersten Huff single and a pair of Cathedral errors before Calero stepped to the plate and made it an 8-0 lead. Neal's 3-run homer in the top of the seventh  capped off the scoring effort for Brownsburg.

Catcher Vivianne Harris recorded two-hits for the second straight night in the win.
