The Brownsburg Varsity Softball Team hosted two games this weekend against the 3A #2 Lebanon Tigers and the 3A #8 South Dearborn Knights. In game one, a walk-off single led the team to a win over Lebanon. The game started off slowly for the Bulldogs with Lebanon leading with a score of 3-0 going into the bottom of the sixth inning. Things began looking up when Senior Jessica Doctor hit a two run homerun. Follow that up with a single from Junior Claire Flick, a double from Junior Elissa Brown, and an RBI single from Senior Brianna Harbin and the score was tied at 3 going into the seventh. Doctor hit a walk off single driving in a run to end the game giving Brownsburg the 4-3 victory.  Elissa Brown earned the win for Brownsburg. This got the momentum going early and Brownsburg scored 4 runs in the first inning. The Bulldogs scored again in the fourth inning when Senior Brianna Harbin got on base with a single and was then knocked in on another double hit by Rodeghier. Brownsburg continued to build on their lead and added two more runs to the board in the fifth inning making the score 7-0. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, Sophomore Maicey Bedrick ripped a triple to right center field. Bedrick was knocked in on a homerun by Senior Jessica Doctor. Freshman Kayla Tobin continued the strong offense by hitting a double and knocking in Senior Sydney Lowe. Senior Kayleigh Pate ended the game with a sac fly to center field which scored Tobin.
