Bulldogs Open Season with a Win

The Brownsburg Varsity Softball Team started their season with a 12-1 victory over Western Boone Thursday night. The Bulldogs start off strong, grabbing an early 2-0 lead with a two run double by junior Kyleigh Anderson. The Bulldogs continued their explosive offense from there with a total of 16 hits on the night.  Anderson was consistent at the place going 2-2 with two doubles and 2 RBIs.  Senior Mackayla Gordon, and Juniors Claire Flick and Elissa Browns each powered their way with multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Gordon went 3-4 with two doubles. Flick went 2-2 with a single and a solo homerun and Brown went 2-3 with a single and a double and 2 RBIs.

Seniors Jessica Doctor and Sydney Lowe, along with Junior Elissa Brown combined for a solid performance in the pitching circle. Together they gave up just 5 hits while Doctor recorded the win for the Bulldogs. The team will travel to Whiteland High School on Tuesday, April 4th.
