Orioles Over Bulldogs

The Brownsburg Varsity Softball team lost a tough battle to #6 ranked Avon last night in extra innings. The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning when Avon scored a run. The Bulldogs did not give up and fought back scoring a run in the top of the seventh to tie the game which caused it to go into extra innings. In the end, Avon outhit Brownsburg 7-3. The final score was 2-1.

Sophomores Anna Carroll and Sydney Rodeghier along with Senior Kyleigh Anderson each collected one hit to lead the Bulldogs Offense. Rodeghier also scored the only run for Brownsburg on a passed ball in the 5th inning. Junior Elissa Brown pitched 7 innings giving up just 4 hits, and one unearned run. She also collected 3 strikeouts. 

The Bulldogs will travel to Center Grove tomorrow to take on the #3 ranked Trojans at 5:30.
