Bulldog Golfers Advance to Regional

The Bullodogs showed determination and concentration for a full 18 holes yesterday at Martinsville GC during the sectional match. The team placed 2nd with a score of 301 which was only 3 strokes behind winner Avon. Derek Hettmansperger tied for the Medalist spot with a 72 (+1). He ended up T2 after the playoff for Sectional Medalist. Luke Kelly added 74 (+3), Alec Brown 77 (+6), and Kasey Cross 78 (+7) completed the team scoring. Kyle Dafoe shot 82 (+11) and would have left us in very favorable position if the 5th score tie-breaker had come into play. The Bulldogs scored 147 on the second nine which was the lowest score on that nine by any of the 12 teams at the sectional.  The team advances to the Washington Regional to be played Thursday June 6 at Country Oaks Golf Course.
