Golf Places 3rd at Hendricks Regional Health County Meet

West-Chase Golf Club hosted the annual Hendricks Regional Health County Boys Golf
Tournament. Avon repeated as Team Champions with an excellent score of 303. Plainfield captured 2nd place with 316, while Brownsburg finished 3rd with 318. Cascade placed 4th with 356, Danville was 5th with 392, and Tri-West completed the team scoring with 400. Freshman Luke Kelly made eagle 3 on the 9th hole on his way to capturing Individual Medalist Honors with a 72 (+1). Kasey Cross battled hard after a tough start and shot 79 (+8) to earn a 10th place finish and All-County Honors. Derek Hettmansperger shot an 83 (+12) and Alec Brown an 84
(+13) to conclude the team scores, and Kyle Dafoe finished with an 87 (+16). The Dogs continue play this week with a Dual Match vs. Carmel at Woodland Country Club, followed Wednesday with a Dual Match vs. Fishers at Fox Prairie, a Dual Match Thursday with Heritage Christian
at home, a Dual Match Friday vs. Pike at Golf Club of Indiana, and closing Saturday with a 22-team invitational at Battle Ground Country Club near Lafayette. The boys now have a record of 60-28.
