Boys' Golf Wins Own Invite

Boys' Golf Wins Own Invite

West Chase Golf Club was the host for the annual Brownsburg Invitational Saturday afternoon. Host school Brownsburg was the champion of the 14-team event at the end of the day, shooting a season-best 298. Hendricks County rival Plainfield finished in 2nd place with 312. Hamilton Heights was 3rd with 325. The host school Bulldogs swept the top 3 individual scores. Derek Hettmansperger shot a 71 (+1) to take the Medalist Honor, while Kasey Cross was 2nd with a 72 (+2) and Luke Kelly 3rd with a 74 (+4). Alec Brown 81 (+11) and Kyle Dafoe 81 (+11) completed the team scoring for the Dogs. Landon Mundell and Michael Wamsley competed as individuals for the team in the invitational. The invitational win was the 2nd of the season for
the boys, which is an accomplishment that the school has not had in boys golf for many seasons. The team's record now stands at 42-8 for the young season. The team is in action again at West Chase Golf Club Wednesday May 1 at 4:00 pm for Senior Night. The opponent is a strong Mooresville team, who is also a sectional rival, so come out and support the 5 seniors who play their final regular season home match.
