Boys' Golf Competes at Sollman Invite

The Brownsburg Varsity Boys Golf Team competed in the Sollman Invitational hosted by Zionsville High School at The Trophy Club golf course near Lebanon. The Dogs struggled on their first nine holes of the day (the second nine at The Trophy Club) but turned it around on their second nine. However, it wasn't enough to do better than 335 and a 10th place finish in the 18 team field. #1-ranked Columbus North shot an incredible team score, given the weather conditions and course set-up, of 298 to take home the title. Derek Hettmansperger shot a 40-39=79 (+7) to pace the Bulldogs. Luke Kelly had a 38 on his second nine to finish with an 82 (+10), Alec Brown had a 39 on his second nine to score an 86 (+14), while Kasey Cross and Landon Mundell both shot 88 (+16). The team continues its season Monday at Bear Slide Golf
Course near Cicero in the HCC Championship. The event features 6 teams
ranked in the Top 20 of the state, including the 17th ranked Bulldogs.
