Boys' Golf Opens Home Stand with a Win

The Brownsburg boys' golf team opened their home part of the schedule with a match versus Lafayette Jeff. The weather played havoc with the match, which started 30 minutes late due to storms in the area. All players did not complete the nine holes, so the decision was made to count the four players' scores who played the most holes. Alec Brown played nine holes and was the Medalist with a 40 (+4). Kasey Cross and Dylan Brinker each played eight holes and each shot 36 (+5). Moe Wamsley got in seven holes and shot 32 (+4). Landon Mundell was the final varsity player for Brownsburg and he was +2 for the six holes he played. The match result showed Brownsburg with 162 strokes compared to Lafayette Jeff with 189 strokes. The team now has an 11-7 record. Up next is a home match at West-Chase versus HCC rival Hamilton Southeastern Thursday, April 11, beginning at 4:30 pm.
